Suspension clamps are used to hang conductor or ground wire through insulators or link fitting to tower arms or substation structures. Body material of suspension clamp is made of malleable cast iron and high strength Al-alloy.
As the suspension clamps are used to AAC and ACSR, the conductor may be-wound by aluminum taps or preformed armor rods for protecting these taps or rods are included in the diameter of suitable conductor.

3) In order to prevent the point of hanging overhead power lines damaged by vibration, the preformed armor rod protects the wire line installation in line at the clamp, so that the clamp near the stiffness of the enhanced inhibition of the wire due to vibration and bending and compressive stress and wear, increasing the earthquke-resistant capacity of the wire.
4) Short preformed armor rod is not in serious cases, may in short span of the line to protect against electric arc wire, friction ,or other damage. It can also be used as a conversion, a conversion has been damange to the wire,to restore the original mechanical stength and wire resistance.
